Editorial policy

Editorial policy and evidence standards

Our goal is accuracy and fairness. We publish attributed, reviewed information that helps buyers verify suppliers — never verdicts of guilt.

What we publish

Case files about identifiable businesses or business contact points, built from moderated reports. Each file separates allegations (attributed to reporters, with dates) from independently verified facts.

  • No 'confirmed scammer' or 'convicted' labels unless a court or authority has adjudicated
  • No guilt scores and no AI-generated accusations
  • No personal phone numbers, home addresses, victims' identities or private photos

Evidence standards

Before publication a moderator records six checks: identity match to the exact identifiers, evidence reviewed, personal data redacted, provenance and rights to use the material, impersonation risk assessed, and right of reply offered.

Payment records, delivery records, chat logs and certificates of analysis are reviewed privately. Only sanitized excerpts approved for publication are shown.

Impersonation and identity

Fraudsters frequently impersonate real laboratories and companies. A brand name in a report does not prove the brand was involved. We link a contact point to a legal entity only with documentary proof, and we label suspected impersonation clearly.

Right of reply

Named businesses are notified and invited to respond before publication where contact is possible. Replies are published alongside the file without editing beyond removing personal data.

Corrections, withdrawals and takedown requests

Anyone can request a correction from a case page. Accepted corrections are logged in the file's audit trail with the date. Files that no longer meet our standards are withdrawn: they return '410 Gone', disappear from search and rankings, and are removed from the sitemap.

Rankings and statistics

Statistics count only published reports, deduplicated per reporter and transaction, with small groups suppressed. Rankings list only published case files a moderator has marked eligible, ordered by distinct reporters — not by raw submissions — and describe reported patterns, not proven fraud.

Independence

Voluntary donations fund hosting and moderation tools. Donations never affect review priority, visibility, rankings, case outcomes or appeals. We accept no payment from suppliers for removal or favourable treatment.

Search engines and AI

Only approved public case files and educational pages are indexable. Pending, private, DEMO and account pages are marked noindex and excluded from the sitemap. AI tools may help staff flag items for review but never publish or accuse.
